Haridwar is district of Uttarakhand state in India. Kedarnath is located at an altitude of 3,584 m above sea level, near the head of river Mandakini. It is also Known as Chota Char Dham pilgrimage that also includes Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
YAMUNOTRI
Yamunotri Temple is situated in the western region of Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,291 metres in uttarakhand. It is one of the four sacred shrines of Chardham Yatra devoted to the Goddess Yamuna and has a black marble idol of the goddess.
GANGOTRI
Gangotri Glacier is located in Uttarkashi District, which is famous for the revered Gangotri temple which is one of the four pilgrimages in the Chota Char Dham circuit of Garhwal Himalayas.
GOMUKH
The word Gomukh literally means Face of a Cow because earlier the snout exactly looked like face of a cow. Gomukh is the physical source of the river Ganga in Uttarakhand.
NEELKHANT
Neelkantha is also known as the Garhwal Queen, is named after Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at a height of 1330 meters and is located about 32 km from Rishikesh in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.
SAPTRISHI KUND
Saptarishi Kund is another attraction of the city where people come to pray in the temple. A popular natural lake atop 4421 metres, it is considered to be where Yamuna originates. The “Saptarishi Kund” which a glacial lake situated about 1000 m above the Yamunotri temple.
